Let us begin at home on a political note. Someone has been dreaming of
becoming a Member of Parliament. Basically, it is not because he wants to
be a leader, but because he wants to take politics as his profession.
Reality on the ground is that if he really wanted to be a leader, up to
that stage he would have been involved positions of leadership at a lower
level.

To convince people to elect him as Member of Parliament, he knows too
well, he must use some tactics with which to convince them he qualifies to
be their representative in Parliament. But, he knows it is a tall order
for him to convince them because they know too well he has no experience
in leadership. He decides to corrupt them by any means to make them like
him. He uses the philosophy of immorality to get where he wants.
He uses money to convince them. He uses lies to promise them good things.
He turns himself into a dramatic character in playing deception to buy
their votes. He wins and they lose because they thought he was a good
person. The rest of the story is told by his selfish interest
participation as a member of Parliament. Immorality versus morality.

Even at the individual level, immorality plays a paramount part in what
people do. When a boy and a girl fall in love, that “falling-in-love” is
out of a motive. Each one has got a problem that he/she thinks the other
can help solve. The problem may be sex, economic, insecurity, inferiority,
lack of self-confidence. Each one has got a job of life to do and must
look for a helping hand. That has got nothing to do with morality. It is a
matter of survival. To marry someone is not a matter of morality or
immorality. It is simply self-service. It is the playing ground of that
self-service where morality and immorality are questioned. But immorality
takes the day because selfishness is a virtue of nature.

At the international level, let us take imperialism focusing on
colonialism. Colonial powers went out hunting for expansionism knowing too
well they wanted to grab what, by human rights, belonged to other people.
But they decided to play immorality by using their super weapons to grab
other people’s rights. They became colonizers, exploiters, thieves and
immoral human beings. They applied any form of lying to justify their
immorality. Slave traders knew too well they were immoral in turning human
beings into market commodities. Buyers of slaves knew too well there was
nothing moral in what they were doing.

Empires were not created for moral reasons. Empires are by products of
competing people. The story of who is mightier than the other. The story
of who eats who. The desire to use someone to benefit yourself. Desire to
suppress the other. Desire to cause fear in others for the sake of using
their resources and manpower to benefit yourself. All the European
colonial powers were individual creatures of other warring tribes. The
question of how Britain was formed. The fall of empires and the rise of
new ones is the game of immorality.

America is a supper power nursing an immoral dream that it should
influence China, Russia and Europe and one day produce the first President
of the world. Not because there is any moral reason in doing so, but
because of self interest. The underlying principal of immorality is ME,
MYSELF and I. I must kill you before you kill me. I must have rights over
what you do and what you have. It is the dream of any living economic
power. It has nothing to do with morality.

Russia is out to destroy Ukraine not out of moral demand but out of
immoral demand in the philosophy that Ukraine’s fall is Russia’s rise. All
that is outside the moral perimeter that each nation has got the right to
live its own life. NATO is supporting Ukraine not because of moral
grounds, but out of designs of expansionism, with the hope that it will
crush Russia and take its territory under NATO’s might.

Africa is under neocolonial siege by Whiteman’s economic powers because
they are pushed by the god of immorality to grab and use African resources
to build their empires.

Where is the position of morality in the world in which we live? Who
actually cares for the welfare of the other? What is the position of the
welfare of the individual? How genuine is that care if there is any, and
what is the quality of that care? Under what motive designs? For African
developing nations to prosper, the power of immorality in the
international market must be on their drawing table, where bilateral
alliances become alliances of socioeconomic immorality players.
